“An encounter with the true, the good, and the beautiful is an experience, not an abstract exercise. What we wish to share with you are the results of over forty years of productive, artistic endeavors that ennoble the human spirit. We are glad that you are here, and we hope that your visit can at least in some small way generate deep insights into the true, a warm embrace of the good, and a profound experience of the beautiful.” – Fr. Walter

Current and ongoing Outreach projects:

When young students in Mombasa, Kenya expressed interest in using audio-visual media to publicize and improve their circumstances, the Outreach stepped in – giving them state-of-the-art equipment and teaching them how to use it. This first international Outreach initiative is thanks to intrepid volunteers being on the ground in Kenya, and we look forward to seeing the products of their collaboration with the local students.

A continuous project of the Outreach is to videorecord and publish on You Tube weekly Masses celebrated at the St. Columba Church in New York City. The growing library of recorded Masses extends back to June 28, 2020, when Fr. Walter celebrated the first Mass allowed after the corona virus pandemic suspended services in all churches for three months.

Coming soon: Programs from the vast archive of Father Walter’s media ministry, including the Rock Pulpit radio show which aired on WPIX-FM in New York City beginning in 1974; dramatic video productions such as Top Floor Suite (a modern re-telling of the Prodigal Son story); interview-discussion programs such as Veterans of the Vineyard (with two “retired” pastors in active ministry); and parish events including liturgies, concerts, talent shows and anniversaries – most notably the 150th Anniversary of Epiphany Parish with Cardinal Dolan presiding. Many of these videos appear on Father Walter’s weekly cable show, Waiting for God–oh!
